Sport and active recreation organisations that provide programs and services to children are now covered by laws that require them to implement the Child Safe Standards.
The Office of Sport is holding a workshop to assist people who work in sport to understand more about the 10 Child Safe Standards and the new laws.
Pre-learning: You are encouraged to complete the Office of Children’s Guardian, Child Safe Sports eLearning Module 1. This free online course, is a great introduction to the concepts and topics that will be explored in more detail on the day.

This will be an interactive workshop aimed at anyone interested in developing an understanding of child safety in sport and recreation. Expand your skills and knowledge to build on what you are already doing, to apply local solutions. You will have an opportunity to share and collaborate, so you can confidently assist sport clubs and organisations to meet the new requirements.
